How long does the registration process take?

The registration process is dependent on many factors.  It is common for the entire process to take 12 to 18 months.

The general process consists of the following steps:

  1. Develop your documentation: Provider Institute's Policy and Procedure development takes approximately 3 weeks from your first Information Gathering Session.
  2. Submit an online Application: This is completed by you, the applicant. The Self-Assessment questions are the most time-consuming portion of the online application, however, Provider Institute members can get guidance with the assistance of Provider Institute's Self Assessment Against the NDIS Practice Standards Course
  3. Audit: Your first Audit generally takes place approximately 1-3 months after submitting the online application.
  4. Final Decision: The NDIS Commission’s decision on registration approval may take as long as 6 to 12 months after the auditor submits their findings.
